Still top broodmares at Wynn Farm!
In connection with the sale of three of our broodmares yesterday, several people have commented on it. Some thought it was a sensible sale, while others say, “How can you even sell, among others, Crysti Dream?” and almost imply that I should feel guilty. But I don’t.
Due to the new rules for Swedish-registered horses, which I have expressed my unequivocal opinion about several times, we need to downsize.
Anyone involved in breeding would love to have a mare like Crysti Dream, but you just have to be rational. The same goes for the other two mares we sold. We would have liked to keep all three, but the decision to downsize is now being followed.
And if anyone thinks we don’t have top mares left, I can just say that we do!
We now only have four pregnant mares left—but what four!
Seven Cupids (US) – bought back yesterday for 11,000 euros – in foal to Calgary Games. Young Chapter Seven mare on the Kenwood Scamper line. Her first offspring, Olivia Wynn (DK), is a top-notch individual – see her video: CLICK HERE
Expensive Attitude (DK) in foal to Calgary Games. Muscle Hill mare out of Hambletonian Oaks winner Windylane Hanover. Her first with us, Meera Wynn (DK), won races in Italy as a 2-year-old, won her Mare Kriterium test (which her mother also did, by the way) and was the favorite in the Danish Filly Kriterium, where she made a break and lost a second place in the last meters. She has proven she can reproduce well. She also has a lovely Danish-registered colt foal this year by Father Patrick – remember the name Pete Wynn (DK)!

Expensive Attitude with Meera Wynn
U Take The Cake (US) in foal with In Range. Sired by the Credit Winner stallion Crazed and none other than Marple Frosting as the dam! Her first, Nakiska (born Amber Wynn), was extremely close to qualifying for the Svensk Trav Oaks. Only because the big favorite had no more stamina in front did she come out too late, but everyone agrees that Nakiska would have won her qualifying race if she had gotten a spot a little earlier.
Nakiska, however, got her revenge on finals day, October 10, when she won a Breeders Course Race at Solvalla with a 250,000 SEK prize in a time of 1:12.2a/2140 meters. She won convincingly after some pressure along the way. A top mare, who can compete with the best 3-year-old mares in tough Swedish competition.
That U Take The Cake can breed was proven before she came to us, but now she has also proven it with her first at our place. This year she had one of our last two Swedish-registered foals, a full sister to Nakiska – Grace Wynn (SE).
Wow N.O. (NO) Trixton mare in foal with Calgary Game. Yet another Hambletonian Oaks winner, Bold And Fresh as the dam! Her first, Vince Wynn (SE), is close to the top 3-year-old colts and geldings in the tough Swedish competition! By the way, he will start in the Breeders Crown semifinal on November 1. Vince Wynn was second last in a Rikstoto Klass III race.
In the qualification for the Kriteriet, he showed that he is really fast from the start – went down to sniff around 1.03 pace to get ahead of the favorite Catch And Go, eased, got the inside, and was normally on his way with a big chance for the Kriteriet when the favorite in the lead suddenly lost style and galloped. It was close to an accident, but after that, it was impossible for him to win back the lost ground. Vince Wynn has raced 1.12.4a/2140 meters and 1.13.0a/2640 meters.
So also Wow has proven she can breed top horses!

Wow N O
In addition, we have four mares that are currently empty:
Spirited Chic (US), whose first foal, Naomi Wynn (DK), won her debut as a 2-year-old in the Auction Race in Aalborg, with 60,000 to the winner. Spirited Chick is a Father Patrick mare with Maritas Victory as her grandmother, who is now a Hambletonian Oaks winner as a grandmother. The dam, Spirit Of Casey, is among other things a sister to Quite Easy. The top mare Passionate Glide ($2 million) is also in the dam line. Spirited Chick is inbred 3×3 to the top mare Marple Frosting. With Naomi, things look promising for her as a broodmare.
Explosive T (US). A Muscle Hill mare with a top pedigree. The dam is a 3/4-sister to the world record holder Wild Honey. Dream Vacation and Hambletonian winner Victory Dream, among many stars, appear in the dam line.
Groupie Doll U S (US) Kadabra mare with the absolutely strongest mare line we have – and that means something. I’m completely convinced she’s going to produce several top-class horses. Her filly after Tactical Landing this year, Dakota Wynn (SE), is an amazing individual, and you can’t help but dream of a new Alligiant.
Princess Corner (DE), who is by Sam Bourbon and Indira Corner (IT), hasn’t had the chance to show her worth yet, but she will! With Une Crown (FR) as her paternal grandmother and Real Fish (US) as her maternal grandmother, she represents through Dimitria (FR) and Tarport Lady Ann (US) the best blood from both France and the USA. Her first Henry Wynn (SE) went to Russia. Her second offspring, Gloria Wynn (SE), is approved in premium racing this year. Her next foal is in 2025. Wendy Wynn (SE) is by Jeppe Juel – a fine Maharajah mare – and this year she has a lovely filly by Calgary Games, Paris Wynn (DK). I honestly believe she can breed, but it remains to be proven – and it will.
So yes – we still have top mares in our breeding stock!
